Sandra Veronica Wines, 78, was reborn on Sunday, Dec. 31, 2023, in DeRidder, La., at the DeRidder Retirement and Rehabilitation Center. 

She was born on Feb. 19, 1945, in New Martinsville, W.V. a daughter to the late William Edgar and Dorothy Marie (Porter) Milliron. 

Sandra dedicated her life to her family and took great pride in creating a warm and loving home. Her nurturing spirit and selflessness were evident in every aspect of her life. She found joy in providing comfort and support to her loved ones, always putting their needs above her own.

Sandra’s faith was of utmost importance to her, and she gave her life to God on Jan. 16, 2019, finding solace and strength in her devotion. Her unwavering belief guided her actions, and she lived her life with grace and compassion.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger William Wines; brother, William Milliron; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gloria Jean (Tom) Gilmore and Shirly (Eugene) Harrigan. 

Sandra is survived by her children, James (Beverly “Sissy”) Lucas, of Grafton, W.V., Timothy Allan (Tina) Lucas, of Jerusalem, Ohio, Tina Marie (Paul) Shumpert, of DeRidder, La., Roger William (Connie) Wines, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, Shirley Majeane (Lester) McIntire, of Sarasville, Ohio, 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews. 

Family and friends will be received on Friday, Jan. 12, 2024 at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home located at 441 37th Street, Bellaire, Ohio from 10 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. with Paul Shumpert as life celebrant. Immediate Burial to follow at Davis Cemetery, Bellaire, Ohio.
