ROSEPINE — Rosepine senior softball standout Barbra Ann White has already made her decision as to where she wants to further her playing career.

According to a recent post on social media, White, who led the Lady Eagles to the state quarterfinals, leading the squad in home runs, announced she will be signing with the Millers of John Melvin University.

John Melvin University is located in Crowley and is just beginning its athletic program, meaning White will be one of the foundational pieces of the program, laying the groundwork for what will hopefully be a successful program.

White, who also helped the Lady Eagles reach the state semifinals in basketball a season ago, is expected to officially sign with the school sometime in September.

White isn’t the only local athlete who will be at John Melvin University as former Pickering Lady Red Devil, ShaeLa Lawrence, announced her intentions to transfer into the school earlier this summer.
