Evans, Anacoco win; Rosepine sweeps Oakdale

GLENMORA — Sadie Jeane hit her parish-leading 13th home run of the season, while also tossing a three-hit shutout, leading the Evans Lady Eagles to a 9-0 win over the Plainview Lady Hornets.

Jeane struck out 11 batters and allowed no runs on three hits. She also had the home run, three RBIs and two runs scored. Daisy Jeane added a triple among her two hits, while knocking in two runs, while Riley Haus had three hits and three runs scored.

Ainsley Jeter had a pair of hits for Evans, with a double and an RBI.

Fairview……1 

GRANT — Bailey Davis allowed only one run on two hits with 13 strikeouts as she helped guide the Anacoco Lady Indians to an 8-1 win over the Fairview Lady Panthers on Monday.

Davis also had a home run in the contest with four RBIs, while teammate Jaiden Craft also homered. Craft drove in a pair of runs.

Arkansas signee Rylee Cloud had one of the two Fairview hits.

Rosepine sweeps Oakdale

ROSEPINE — The Rosepine Lady Eagles got four hits each from Barbra Ann White and Shelby Deason as they swept a District 5-2A doubleheader from the Oakdale Lady Warriors on Monday, 6-5, and, 17-2.

Sienna Stinley earned the win in the first game, holding off a late rally by the Lady Warriors for a 6-5 Rosepine victory. Marli Jones secured the win pitching in the second game, which was a Lady Eagles’ victory, 17-2.

White had a triple and a double among her four hits between the two games, while she also drove in four runs. Deason added four RBIs as well, while Analeigh Roberts connected on a home run.

HICKS — Despite five RBIs from Jozlyn Westfall, the Hicks Lady Pirates fell to 6-18 overall with a 21-10 loss to the Negreet Indians on Monday.

Westfall was 3-for-4 with a double, homer and five RBIs in the contest, while Saige Hagan had a pair of doubles and three RBIs for the Lady Pirates.
