Tigers win twice at Pitkin Tournament

PITKIN — The trio of Grayson Milton, Matthew Paul and Jayce Thompson made sure the Pitkin Tigers weren’t going to lose at the annual Pitkin Tournament.

The trio guided the Tigers to wins over the Elizabeth Bulldogs and the East Beauregard Trojans at their own tournament, which took place last weekend.

Pitkin Tigers…..43

Elizabeth Bulldogs…26

In a low-scoring outing, the Pitkin Tigers dominated defensively en route to a win over the Elizabeth Bulldogs, 43-26.

Milton had 14 points to lead the Tigers, while Paul and Thompson added 13 and 10 points, respectively.

Pitkin Tigers….50

EBHS Trojans….34

Milton, Paul and Thompson combined for 38 points in leading the Tigers to a 50-34 win over the East Beauregard Trojans.

Paul led the way in this contest with 16 points, while Milton and Thompson finished with 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Fairview Panthers….89

Glenmora Wildcats….56

Landon Strother poured in a season-high 32 points to lead the Fairview Panthers to an 89-56 win over the Glenmora Wildcats.

Joining Strother in double figures for Fairview, which also beat East Beauregard, 100-46, was Brennan LeJeune with 26 points and Brett Jinks with 14 points.

Logan Norsworthy had 18 points to lead the Wildcats.

Pitkin Lady Tigers….39

The Fairview Lady Panthers had four players reach double figures Friday night as they beat the Pitkin Lady Tigers, 89-39.

Reesie Jinks paced Fairview with 22 points, while Ella Reeves added 20 points. Rylee Cloud and Bella Smith contributed 18 and 17 points, respectively.

Abby Robinson led Pitkin with 17 points.

J.S. Clark Lady Bulldogs….67

Pitkin Lady Tigers….62 

Robinson led three Pitkin players in double figures, but it wasn’t enough as it fell to the J.S. Clark Lady Bulldogs at the Pitkin Tournament, 67-62.

Robinson had 24 points, while Natalee Nolen added 18 points. Jossilyn Johnson chipped in with 10 points.

Taylor Barnaba led the Lady Bulldogs with 27 points, while Erianna Ned added 21 points.

J.S. Clark Lady Bulldogs….59

EBHS Lady Trojans….49

Despite getting 24 points from Sophia Burchard, the East Beauregard Lady Trojans dropped a 59-49 decision to the J.S. Clark Lady Bulldogs.

Ned paced the Lady Bulldogs with 25 points.

Fairview Lady Panthers…..87

Glenmora Lady Wildcats….40

Fairview had five players score in double figures as they drubbed the Glenmora Lady Wildcats, 87-40.

Cloud paced the Lady Panthers with 25 points, while Reeves came in with 16 points. Reesie Jinks and Smith added 14 points apiece, while Kaylee Guillory notched 13 points.

EBHS Lady Trojans….46

The Glenmora Lady Wildcats rebounded from the big loss to Fairview by taking care of the EBHS Lady Trojans, 83-46.

Fantasia Balthazar led the Lady Wildcats with 24 points, while Burchard had 20 points to pace East Beauregard.
