Both Cleco and Benoit are well known for their charitable contributions to the local community, and new scoreboards just add to that list. Jason Benoit, owner of Benoit Ford was on hand to see the new scoreboards, alongside Tripp Dungan, Cleco Principal Governmental Services Representative. They were both joined by Leesville Director of Planning and Development Grant Bush and City Administrator Patti Larney.

Bush said: "We have been trying to get tournaments here at the ballpark, and with the help of our sponsors Cleco and Benoit Ford, we have been able to move forward with that. This is going to be a real big help for the community."

Bush noted that opening up the possibility to host tournaments at the ballpark creates many opportunities for economic growth. Tournaments at the ballpark attract people who will buy food from Leesville, gas from Leesville, and spend money that will go back into the Leesville community. Bush expressed that the scoreboards provide an excellent opportunity for economic development.
