Merryville running back Cam'Ron Williams (33) earned first-team all-district honors from the coaches in District 4-1A.

The season may not have gone the way the East Beauregard Trojans or Merryville Panthers wanted, but they had a total of nine players honored with postseason recognition.

Merryville landed five players on the coaches' 5-1A all-district team, while four EBHS players took up five spots on the squad.

The Panthers and Trojans each had two players receive first-team honors. Merryville running back Cam'Ron Williams and wide receiver Ross Cournoyer were chosen for the Panthers, while offensive lineman Dylan Singleton and defensive back Jacob Gimnich were EBHS selections named first team.

Gimnich also picked up second-team recognition at running back for the Trojans, as did teammates Dakota Kemp, an offensive lineman and Jordan Plumley, another defensive back.

Placekicker Levi Neely, quarterback Blaise Duncan and linebacker Causey Owen were Merryville honorees on the second team.

Grand Lake's Elijah Fountain took home Offensive Player of the Year honors, while Hamilton Christian's Noah Nelson was the Defensive MVP.
