Lady Indians blast Holden

Anacoco's Bella Henry scored a career-high 22 to lead the Lady Indians to a huge victory over Holden, 84-17.

ANACOCO – The Anacoco Lady Indians had three players in double figures, while Reagan Stanley nearly recorded a rare quadruple-double as they blasted the Holden Lady Rockets on Saturday, 84-17.

With the victory, the Lady Indians improved to 2-1 on the season.

Anacoco took a 31-4 lead after one quarter and used a 19-6 surge in the second to take a 50-10 advantage at the break.

The Lady Indians coasted the rest of the way as they got the easy win.

Bella Henry scored a career-high 22 points, while Paige Mayo and Bailey Davis added 15 and 14 points, respectively. Stanley finished with eight points, 10 assists, nine steals and eight rebounds.

Breithaupt led Holden with seven points.

Lady Hornets fall twice at Pleasant Hill

PLEASANT HILL – A late rally by the Hornbeck Lady Hornets fell just short as they fell to the Zwolle Hawks on Friday in the Pleasant Hill Tournament.

On Saturday, the Lady Hornets fell to Florien, 65-36.

Hannah Dahlhoff led in scoring in both games, scoring 18 against Hornbeck and 12 against Florien. Kayleigh Park had 10 against Zwolle.

Fairview Lady Panthers….82

Plainview Lady Hornets….46

GRANT – The defending Class B state champion Fairview Lady Panthers had five players reach double figures in an 82-46 win over the Plainview Lady Hornets.

Fairview was led by Rylee Jinks with 26 points, while Coco Williams finished with 13 points. Emily Stark pitched in 12 points, while Reesie Jinks and Ella Reeves each added 11 points.

GRANT – The Pitkin Tigers rolled to their third straight win as they downed the Bell City Bruins on Saturday at the Fairview Tournament, 84-49.

Jaycee Thompson scored a game-high 25 points, while Zeke Lentz contributed 18 points. Braeden Fordham added 16 points.

Collin Leger led Bell City with 12 points.

Florien Blackcats…62

Hornbeck Hornets…58

PLEASANT HILL – The Florien Blackcats held off a furious fourth-quarter rally to beat the Hornbeck Hornets on Saturday at the Pleasant Hill Tournament, 62-58.

Alijah Remedies paced Florien with 24 points.

Hornbeck (2-1) was led by Jaren Mitcham with 18 points, while Cayden Fox and Brylon Evans had 12 and 10 points, respectively.
