Carpentry students at Sowela Technical Community College in Leesville recently rebuilt and restored an original depot wagon/freight cart belonging to the Beauregard Museum.

According to director Elona Weston, from start to finish, the students displayed talent and professionalism.

“They took great care and pride in this project. One student, Jackson DeRosier, took great interest and did a lot of the work himself,” Weston said.

The students, under the direction of instructor Bobby Bordelon, have taken on many projects in the community and beyond.
