Local Authors Autograph Party set for April 13

In celebration of National Library Week on Saturday, April 13, the Vernon Parish Library will host a Local Authors Autograph Party, where local authors will sell and sign their books from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the meeting room at the Main Branch.

More than 10 local authors have been scheduled so far.

Light refreshments will be served, and library displays (including archival displays) will be present.

The children’s storytime Mother Goose Club will begin at 10 a.m. in the children’s wing and then visitors can head in to meet the authors or step outside and onto the Mobile Branch to experience a true library on wheels. The Mobile Branch covers more than 1,000 miles monthly serving rural areas and some assisted living facilities.
