Leesville mayor Rick Allen re-elected

Leesville City Mayor Rick Allen was re-elected to another term Saturday, according to unofficial results from the Secretary of State’s Office.

Allen secured his win with 68 percent, or 482 votes, over candidate Louis “Lou Lou” Hopkins, who won 223 votes.

The unofficial voter turnout for the mayoral election was 21.9 percent, according to the Secretary of State’s Office.

Leesville voters elected Chris Robertson to the District 1 seat with 76 percent of votes and Willie Mae Kennedy to the District 2 seat with 62 percent of votes.

Delain Perkins Prewitt was elected to the District 4 seat with 59 percent, or 101 votes, over candidate Jessica Herring who won 69 votes.
