Southwest Louisiana will become the Easter Bunny’s playground this week with several family friendly spring festivals planned throughout the area.

Here’s a look at what’s ahead:

Westlake — Easter Eggstravaganza, 4:30-6:30 pm. Thursday, April 14, at Pinderosa Park, 2901 Westwood Drive; music, games, food, face painting, egg hunt, balloon art and photos with the Easter bunny are planned.

Community Easter Extravanganza, 10 a.m.-noon Friday, April 15, Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center, 2009 N. Simmons St.; egg hunt planned.

Sulphur — Easter Egg Hunt, 8:30-11 a.m. Saturday, April 16, The Grove at Heritage Square, 1211 Ruth St.; carnival-style booths, prizes, egg hunt and food trucks planned.

Easter Egg Hunt, 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, April 16, New Providence Baptist Church, 307 Deshotel Lane; open to children 15 and under.

Lake Charles Easter Egg Hunt, 10 a.m. Saturday, April 16, McMillan Park, 343 Goss St.; open to children 12 and younger.

Easter Bunny Selfies, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, April 16, Rouses Market, 5665 Nelson Road; children welcome to take free selfie with the Easter Bunny and decorate an Easter cookie.

Leesville — The Great Easter Egg Hunt, 1 p.m. Saturday, April 16, Leesville Municipal Golf Course Park, 350 Country Club Road; free refreshments, egg hunt and photos with Easter Bunny planned.

DeRidder — Easter at Veterans Park, 2-5 p.m. Saturday, April 16,505  E. Mahlon St ; free toys, food, puppet show, egg hunt planned.

Easter at Trinity, 5-8 p.m. Saturday, April 16, Trinity Baptist Church, 1800 Country Club Road; after a Saturday Easter service in the Central Venue, the church will host a Comeback Party to celebrate the resurrection of the Savior. There’ll be an egg hunt, petting zoo, bounce houses, face painting and more.
