Summer fun idea: Basic beekeepers school

The SW LA Beekeepers Association and the LSU AgCenter are presenting its fourth Beginning Beekeepers Class.

The class is planned for 6-9 p.m. Monday, July 13, at the Rosepine Research Station, 176 Research Road, Rosepine, LA

The cost is $25, and the school will meet on Mondays in July and August. Topics include: bee biology, equipment, bee acquisition, hive management, hive pests and diseases, hive products, and preferred honey plants.
