AT&T boosts network speeds for Vernon, Calcasieu, Beauregard parishes

AT&T has expanded its 5G network in Vernon, Calcasieu and Beauregard Parishes, giving residents, businesses and visitors a big boost in their wireless connectivity. according to the company.

“We’ve added new sites to enhance the area’s coverage and capacity, and help customers unlock the power of America’s Most Reliable 5G Network,” a press release from the company says.

These new sites will enhance AT&T’s coverage and capacity in the areas around:

Vernon Parish – Along Hm Stevens Boulevard, Vander Drive and Ida Stephens Road in Leesville

Calcasieu Parish – Along Anise Street in Dequincy and Delta Downs Drive in Vinton

Beauregard Parish – Along East First Street in Deridder

AT&T 5G brings fast, reliable and secure connectivity to more than 281 million people in over 22,000 cities and towns nationwide, which now includes Vernon, Calcasieu and Beauregard Parishes, according to the company press release detailing the expansion.

From 2019 to 2021, AT&T has invested more than $1.1 billion in wireless and wireline networks in Louisiana. These investments boost reliability, coverage, speed and overall performance for residents and their businesses.

“I applaud AT&T’s efforts to expand and enhance modern communication networks in Louisiana and today’s announcement is another example of their commitment to our area,” said Leesville Mayor Rick Allen.
