Mayor’s Women’s Commission presents Civic Awards for Beautification

The Leesville Mayor’s Women’s Commission recently presented their February 2023 Civic Awards for Beautification to two Leesville citizens.
The residential winner was Kala Miller and her mother, Amanda Yocom. Their home located at 509 East Texas St. was brightened up by the Mardi Gras wreath featuring the traditional colors of the holiday — purple, green and gold.
The commercial winner was Bloomers Florist & Gift Shop, located at 1002 North 5th St. The shop has recently moved to its new location and their exterior was flamboyantly decorated with a variety of colorful Mardi Gras decorations.
