Serving people is very difficult at times, especially when the very people you are trying to help are judging you and your actions from a distance. Each news media outlet has positioned themselves to pick a party and promote their own agenda instead of publishing the truth without letting the public decide their own stance.

One year Earl Campbell, without practicing, showed up to a training camp and could not run a mile. All this happened while the press was present at the camp. Immediately they began to attack Earl’s work ethic and his ability to perform.

Sadly, when the reporters had an opportunity to attack, they did just that and worked themselves into a frenzy. They questioned Coach Phillips’ decision as to why he would give Earl Campbell a starting position after they had just witnessed that he was not able to run a mile. Coach Phillips in a very calm voice replied, “If we get in a situation and its 3rd down and a mile, I won’t run him.”

The moral of the story is don’t be so quick to judge when you don’t have all the information needed.

Speaking for myself my opinion is based on what I have as facts not what any news media reports. We shouldn’t be so quick to judge because a member of our own party has come to a conclusion.

Micah 6:8 and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Nowhere in the Bible I couldn’t find where my job is to judge but there are plenty of Scriptures about serving.
