Funeral Services for Charles Ray Bridges, 86, of Hornbeck, were held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville with Bro. John Lewing officiating. Burial followed in Prewitt’s Chapel cemetery in Hornbeck, La.
Visitation was Wednesday, June 29, 2022, from 11 a.m. until time of service in the funeral home.
Charles was born on October 28, 1935 in Negreet, La., to his parents, Ephram and Mina Chance Bridges. He passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, La.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margie Bridges; brother, Lee Bridges; and three sisters, Agnes Brown, Audrey Potter, and Louise Waller.
Left to cherish his memory is his step-daughter, Shelia Chapman of England; three brothers, Hollace Bridges of Bunker Hill, Ill., Junior Bridges of Hempstead, Texas, and Wallace Bridges of Marthaville, La.; two sisters, Barbara Singleton of Clayton, Ga., and Murline Jacobs of New Caney, Texas; three grandchildren, William Self, Adam Self, and Trish Self; and one great-granddaughter, Blianna Miracle Mea Warren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
