The Leesville Mayor’s Women’s Commission recently presented their May 2022 Civic Awards for Beautification to two Leesville citizens.

The residential winner was Vickie and Wallace Wilson, who live at 209 Tower St. Their front porch looks warm and inviting with lots of wooden furniture. It is surrounded by flower beds featuring roses, lilies, Mexican heather and a magnificent gardenia that was loaded with sweet-smelling blooms.

The commercial winner was UDB Financial / Ameriprise Financial located at 105 South 5th St. and owned by Joey Bollinger and John Lenahan. The entrance to their office is lined with roses, accentuated by a few crepe myrtles and an unusual plant, a vitex, which will be in bloom soon.
