Mobile Food Pantry announces March schedule

The Food Bank of Central Louisiana has announced dates for the Mobile Food Pantry in Vernon Parish.

Friday, March 18: 8-10 a.m., First Baptist Church of Hornbeck.

Friday, March 18: 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Burr Ferry Pentecostal Church in Evans.

Friday, March 25: 9-11 a.m. Church International in Rosepine.

Friday, March 25: 12:30-2:30 p.m. Slagle Mall

The Mobile Pantry Program is designed to help combat hunger in areas that may not be able to access food services like local food banks. Through its programs, it is estimated the Food Bank of Central Louisiana serves more than 22,400 on a monthly basis throughout their communities.

“Every dollar, every can of food, is one more step towards ending hunger in our community,” said Executive Director Jayne Wright-Veleze. “The Food Bank of Central Louisiana would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to all of those whose donations make our work possible every single day. Together, we can provide hope to the hungry people here in Central Louisiana.”
