U.S. Rep. Mike Johnson (LA-04) earned an A-plus rating on the 2021 Susan B. Anthony Lists’ annual National Pro-Life Scorecard, according to an announcement from the organization on Wednesday.

According to the Susan B. Anthony List, the scorecard took into account votes and actions by members of Congress during the first session of the 117th Congress.

Johnson’s scorecard cited his votes on multiple items including his support for H.R. 619, the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, and his opposition to H.R. 3755, the Women’s Health Protection Act of 2021 that sought to expand abortion access and prohibit the enforcement of state and federal pro-life laws.

“In a political environment that was so hostile to the sanctity of human life in 2021, I’m encouraged to see so many of my colleagues still standing strong with us for unborn children,” Johnson said.

“While Democrat opposition toward the pro-life movement will certainly continue into 2022, this March for Life week is an appropriate time to pause and reflect on what has been accomplished and the long way we still have to go,” Johnson said.

The organization also awarded A-plus scores to U.S. Sens. Bill Cassidy and John Kennedy, as well as Congressmen Clay Higgins, Garret Graves, Julia Letlow and Steve Scalise.

The organization scored Troy Carter (LA-02), the sole Democrat representing Louisiana in the House, with an F.
