A new church is set to be launched in Leesville at the end of the month, with the goal of reaching the Leesville-Fort Polk community. The Connection Point Ministry Center’s inaugural service is set for 10 a.m. Jan. 30. The church is located at 165 Lewis Perkins Road in Leesville.

The church describes itself as a “connecting point ministry serving the military and local community that they may connect with Christ, His missional community, and with their kingdom purpose.”

The church holds a regular Sunday morning service, and midweek connection groups at various times.

Denominationally the church is affiliated with Louisiana Church of God, and is one of many centers that make up Freedom Outreach International.

According to their mission statement, the purpose of the Connection Point Ministry Center is to “connect with, evangelize, and disciple military and civilian members of our community so they may discover, develop, and fulfill their unique purpose and be equipped for involvement in local ministry and the global church.”

The church is led by Wade Miller and his wife, Tammy. They are both credentialed ministers with the Louisiana Church of God.

The Millers have established ministries in places like Puerto Rico, North Carolina, Belgium, and England.

Wade Miller is a retired U.S. Army Command Sergeant Major. Tammy Miller is a former Federal Service executive assistant.
