Susan Werner Tylock, of Lafayette,
Louisiana, was a caring and loving teacher, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She left this world and entered peacefully into rest on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at her home, Eastridge Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, in Abbeville, Louisiana, at
age 65. Susan was born on July 8, 1955 to Winston Harvey and Sadie Adele Beebe Werner in Miami, Florida.

After graduating Leesville High School (Class of 1973), Susan earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Grades
Education from Louisiana State University (Class of 1977) and later, worked toward her Graduate Certificate in Early Childhood from University of Southwestern Louisiana in Lafayette. After teaching public Kindergarten at L. Leo Judice Elementary
School in Scott, Louisiana for thirty (30) years, Susan retired where she was a substitute teacher and tutor to students.

She was a passionate LSU Fighting Tiger fanatic, often “giving hell and harassing” opposing non-Tiger
fans. She loved music, dancing and sharing her cooking and recipes with anyone appreciating great food and a good time. She was always into and “about a good time”. Susan genuinely enjoyed her friends, family and loved ones, embracing a wonderful
sense of humor and at times, a good measure of sarcasm.

Susan was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Leesville and later, Asbury United Methodist Church of Lafayette.

Left to cherish her
memory is her son, Lane Jerrod Tylock of Lafayette, LA; brother, Joel Winston Werner (Mary) of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Laina` Tylock of Lafayette, LA and Leslie Jade Tylock and Logan Jeremy Tylock of Lake Charles, LA and nieces and nephews Hannah
Catherine Chalkley Werner, Joel Patrick Winston Werner and Grace Anne Alexander Werner of Lafayette, LA and Baton Rouge, LA.

Preceded in death by her parents, Winston Harvey Werner and Sadie Adele Beebe Werner; and son, Luke
Jeremy Tylock.

Special thank you to Lourdes Regional Hospital, Eastridge Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and Traditions Health & Hospice Care doctors, nurses and staff.
