Temple to retire from Merchants and Farmers Bank

Leesville, LA—Ken Hughes, President/CEO announces Tammye Temple, Assistant Vice President/IRA Administrator/New Accounts Supervisor will be retiring after 38 years of service to Merchants & Farmers Bank, and the communities we serve.
“The list of Tammye’s jobs and accomplishments during her 38 year career are remarkable. Community bankers with her skillset are very rare these days. We wish Tammye much joy and happiness in her retirement days with her family,” states Hughes.
Temple began her career at Merchants & Farmers on March 1, 1983 and during her time as a bank employee she has held positions in Bookkeeping, Teller, New Accounts Representative, Loan Secretary, Teller Supervisor, Ft Polk Branch Manager, Successions and Audit Committee Secretary.
A life-long resident of Vernon Parish, Tammye graduated from Simpson High School, class of 1977, and resides in Simpson, Louisiana with her husband of twenty-eight years, Lydell. She has one daughter, Hayley and one grandson, Grayson (9).
“I would like to say thank you to Merchants & Farmers and all of the wonderful people whom I have had the opportunity to work with over the years. I feel blessed to call them my bank family and I consider each Board of Director and employee great coworkers. My retirement plans are to spend time with my family,” states Temple.
