LEESVILLE – Senior Drew Tebbe did a little bit of everything for Anacoco on Monday.
Tebbe gave up just two hits over four innings and smashed a two-run homer as he helped guide the second-ranked Indians to an 11-1 Class B regional playoff victory over the Lacassine Cardinals at Leesville High School.
With the win, Anacoco will play in the Class B quarterfinals against 10th-seeded Weston, which upset Converse on Monday. The game will be played at 5:30 p.m. Saturday in Weston.
The Indians took a 2-0 lead in the second inning with a pair of runs, but Lacassine answered with a run in the third thanks to an RBI-single off the bat of Jace Bageux, cutting the deficit to one, 2-1.
However, Anacoco scored twice in the third and used a six-run fourth inning to open up a 10-1 advantage.
The game ended in the fifth when senior Jett Rogers connected on an RBI-single to enforce the 10-run mercy rule.
Tebbe worked four innings for the Indians, giving up one run on two hits with six strikeouts. Offensively, he hit a two-run homer and scored two times.
Noah Carroll had a pair of hits, two runs scored and an RBI, while Dylan Fitzgerald had a double, two runs scored and two RBIs.
Rogers, Chase Taylor and Zack Benevage each added a hit and RBI for the Indians.
Bageux was the star for Lacassine as he had two hits and an RBI. He was also the pitcher of record in the loss.
