Police Jury announces Debris Removal Completion

The parish’s debris removal contractor started debris collection and disposal on September 21, 2020; during the 189-day period approximately 803,000 cubic yards of debris have been removed from public rights-of-way within the parish; 733,000 cubic yards of vegetative debris and 69,600 cubic yards of construction and demolition debris.

Final pass notification was issued on March 4, 2021.

Parish officials requested that all debris be placed on the right-of-way by March 12, 2021. It is anticipated that all eligible Hurricane Laura generated debris will be removed from public rights-of-way within the parish by Friday, April 2, 2021. This date is expected to mark the completion of the debris removal project within Beauregard Parish.
