Lady Eagles beat Pickering, DeRidder rallies past Leesville

ROSEPINE – Chloe Bennett fanned 12 batters, while Calyn Brister connected on a three-ring homer as the Rosepine Lady Eagles remained unbeaten in district play, knocking off the Pickering Lady Red Devils on Thursday, 8-2.
Bennett gave up two runs on three hits in the victory, picking up her 14th win on the season.
Brister went 2-for-4 with a homer, a double and three RBIs. Kynadee Delome added a pair of hits and two RBIs, while Ashlynn Smith had two hits and an RBI.
Elaina King suffered the loss in the circle, while Lucy Brooks had a pair of hits and a run scored. Gwen Sharbeno had the other guy for the Lady Red Devils.

LEESVILLE – The Leesville Lady Cats took an early lead, but the DeRidder Lady Dragons scored the next 12 runs of the game, claiming a 12-3 district win on Thursday.
DeRidder trailed by three runs, but got a four-hit effort from Emma Barbee, who also drove in three RBIs. Kaiya Scott earned the win in the circle for the Lady Dragons, giving up no runs on no hits with seven strikeouts in four innings of work.
Amaya Thomas led Leesville with a hit and two RBIs.
