Indians dump Pitkin, Simpson tops Hicks

PITKIN – The Anacoco Indians ran their record to 30-2 overall, including a 7-0 mark in district play, as they downed the Pitkin Tigers on Tuesday, 68-48. 

Four players reached double figures for Anacoco, led by Shaun Riley and Drew Tebbe, who had 15 points each. Brayden Blakeway added 13 points and Landry Alligood chipped in with 12 points. 

Braden Fordham scored 13 points to lead Pitkin, while Zeke Lentz and Jaycee Thompson had 12 and 11 points, respectively. 

Simpson Broncos…57 

Hicks Pirates…30 

SIMPSON – The Simpson Broncos remained undefeated in District 3-C play with a 57-30 win over the Hicks Pirates on Tuesday. 

Braxton Vasco led Simpson with 13 points, while Rhett Petre and Preston Miller had 12 and 11 points, respectively. Zach Vargas chipped in with 10 points. 

Brad Pelt had seven points to lead Hicks. 

Kinder Yellow Jackets…49 

Pickering Red Devils…46 

PICKERING – The Pickering Red Devils dropped a hard-fought district game Tuesday to the Kinder Yellow Jackets, 49-46. 

Trystan Pope paced Kinder with 18 points, while You Bynog finished with 15 points. 

Kaleb O'Banion led Pickering with 17 points, while Marlon Freeney contributed 12 points.
