Sheriff Sam Craft of the Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office announces the December 11, 2020 arrest of David McGlothlin, age 47, of Anacoco.

The arrest is the result of a report regarding a victim who lost her purse in the Anacoco area.

The victim's credit cards were used at the Leesville Walmart. Detectives obtained video and photographs of the suspects and the suspect vehicle.

After posting the photographs on social media VPSO was contacted by numerous citizens identifying the persons responsible for the identity theft.

David McGlothlin was arrested by Detectives and charged with one count of Identity Theft. Bond was set at $7500.00 and he remains in the VPSO jail.

Additional arrests are expected.

Sheriff Craft would like to thank all of the citizens who contacted VPSO in regards to this matter.
