Vestal Marcille (Nichols) Hinson passed away
Tuesday, December 25, 2018. She was born February 23, 1930 in Leesville, Louisiana, the first-born of Myrtie Mae (Smith) Nichols and Marcus Hanna Nichols. She spent her adult life in her beloved hometown of DeRidder. Marcille loved God, family,
cooking, music, flowers, and home. She worked for many years at Crosby Chemical Co. and then, Boise Southern Paper Mill, where she held various positions including her final position as Administrative Secretary to the President. On November 28, 1978,
while still employed at Boise, Marcille was married to Eddie Lee Hinson. They were blessed to share nearly 25 happy years of marriage prior to his passing on March 8, 2003.

Marcille loved gospel music and was given piano
lessons at an early age. During her last two years of high school, she studied piano and voice lessons during two, three-week summer sessions at Stamps-Baxter Gospel Music School in Dallas, TX, where she realized her goal could be reached to play
Christian music, which she did for many years. In her earlier years, she and her three sisters sang together as a quartet for several years, attending local and surrounding area youth services. Marcille taught the 15-16 year-old age group in Sunday
School, directed youth activities, was involved in Ladies Auxiliary, and was church pianist for many years at The First Pentecostal Church of Deridder and Beth-El Apostolic Church. She faithfully cared for her parents and husband during times of
extended illness.

She is survived by her sister, Melonee (husband, Lou) Mauck; a host of nieces and nephews; stepdaughter, Nancy (husband, Grady) Stephens; stepson, Sammy (wife, Amelia) Hinson; and spouse of deceased stepson,
Donald, Billie June Hinson.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Lee Hinson; mother, Myrtie Mae (Smith) Nichols; father, Marcus Hanna Nichols; sisters, Wanda Foster, and Casciel Stephens; stepdaughter, Danita and
husband, Gene Brannam; and stepson, Donald Hinson.

Visitation and the Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 29, 2018, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until time of service,
11:00 a.m., with Rev. Trent Holman officiating. Interment following the service will be at Beauregard Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.
