Anneliese Faust

Graveside services will be held on November 30,
2018 at 1:00 P.M. in the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home.
Anneliese “Lisa” Quade Faust was born on October 5, 1932 in Pommern, Prussia. She passed away on Monday, November
12, 2018 in the Rosepine Retirement and Rehab Center.
Anneliese fled from her home in Pommern, which is now part of Poland, in 1942 together with her mom and her sister Marianne. They fled from the Russian Army and settled near Wetzlar,
Germany. She lived there, went to school and worked until she decided to go to the United States at the age of 19. When she immigrated to the United States she was all alone and knew no one. She decided to join the United States Army and earned the
rank of Corporal, and she was Honorably Discharged from the Army in 1960. While she was in the Army she meet and married the love of her life Robert Faust on December 18, 1959. She and her husband moved to Louisiana in 1973. After Robert’s retirement
from the military, they settled down in Anacoco. She was a loving and devoted wife and gave her all to Robert until he passed away in June 2018.
She began working for Shawson Gas in Leesville in 1974 and retired in 1994 where she remained
part of the Shawson Gas family until her passing.
She is preceded in death by her husband; Robert Faust, parents; Käthe & Ernst Quade; sisters; Karla Krause (Quade) and Marianne Perlitz (Quade).
She is survived by her niece;
Ilona Perlitz and great niece Ernestine Perlitz.
