Harry R. “Totsie” Marshall

Funeral service for Harry R. “Totsie” Marshall, 97, will be Friday, December 22, 2017 at 11 am at First United Methodist Church of DeRidder, with Rev. Lamar Oliver officiating. Services are under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in
DeRidder, LA. Visitation will be held Friday, December 22, 2017, from 9 A M until time of the service at First United Methodist Church in DeRidder.

Harry was born June 30, 1920, in Longville, LA, and went to be with the Lord
on Monday, December 18, 2017, in Cornerstone Assisted Living in Sulphur, LA. He lived most of his life in DeRidder graduating from DeRidder High School. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in DeRidder where he was a member of the
Aldersgate Sunday School Class. He retired from Westvaco in DeRidder after 43 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 27 in DeRidder for 73 years. A veteran of the U. S. Army Air Corp serving during WWII he was a Crew Chief on the P 47’s
in the 404 Fighter Group. Mr. Marshall also was a member of the Blue Boys at Beauregard Memorial Hospital in DeRidder. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Harry is survived by his
wife of 71 years, Minerva LaBlanc Marshall of Deridder; son, Roderick L. Marshall (Cindy) of Atlanta, GA; daughters Renee’ Marshall of Boston, MA, Nancy M. Legendre (Reggie) of Lake Charles, LA, Kathy R. Marshall of Lafayette, LA, and Susan Reed
(Reggie) of DeRidder; six grandchildren, Marshall Richard, Katie Governale, Katherine Marshall, Allyson Littell, Caitlyn Reed and Quinton Reed; four great grandchildren, Luke Governale, Ryan Governale, Jack Littell and Radley Littell. Words of
