At peace at last.
Our beloved mother,
Jackie Nell Jackson, died peacefully on Feb. 4, 2017. She was 81-years-old.
She was born on Nov. 10, 1935, and a native of Anacoco.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Dupré and husband, Grant, and her son, Ricky Jackson and
his long-time partner, Lisa Brown; her sister Eunice Kay, her sister-in-law Cindy Harvey, and a very large number of special nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends.
She was a sweet, petite, strong-minded woman who kept going, no
matter the obstacles. Very caring and independent, she loved music, playing cards with family and was always up for a casino trip.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Haywood and Ethel McElveen; brothers, Sylvester, Woodrow and
James; sisters Clara, Sybil, Geraldine and Anna-Maude.
Thank you to her “family” at Many North and the staff at Sabine Medical ER. A special thank you to our precious cousin, Mona Sandel, who held her hand as she passed from this life to
her new peaceful home.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at Good Hope Baptist Church, located at 774 Good Hope Road, Anacoco.
