RUSTON – Funeral services for Cecil William Calhoun, 60, of Ruston, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Owens Memorial Chapel in Ruston with a small family gathering at Lincoln Parish Park, 211 Parish Park Road,
following the service.
Mr. Calhoun was born December 13, 1955 in Houston, Texas to Ray Charles (R.C.) Calhoun and Mary Frances Graham Calhoun. He passed away unexpectedly Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Northern Louisiana Medical Center
Ruston.
Mr. Calhoun was graduated from Anacoco High School in 1974. He attended Louisiana Tech University and Stephen F. Austin University. Mr. Calhoun met the love of his life, Debbie Jemello, in high school and they were married in 1974
at Crystal Springs Baptist Church.
He spent most of his life working tirelessly as a petroleum land man as well as a forester. He was an extremely dedicated worker and fiercely loyal to his family and friends. His two main passions were
spending time with his family and visiting national parks. Cecil was a great man who will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
Mr. Calhoun is survived by his wife of 42 years Debbie Faye Jemello Calhoun; sons C.J. Calhoun and his
wife Julie and Chris Calhoun; daughter Deserae Fisher and her husband Louie and five grandchildren. He is also survived by many relatives and many close friends.
Visitation will be held starting at 9:00 a.m.until service time, Thursday,
