Dennis Cole Young Sr

Funeral services for Dennis “Cole” Young, Sr. will
be held on August 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at
Galilee Baptist Church 403 Bonner Road Evans, with Reverend George Jeane and Reverend
Lloyd Atchison officiating. Burial will follow in the Evans Cemetery under the direction of
Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Visitation will be held on August 16, 2016 at the church from 6:00 p.m. and will continue until time of service .
Dennis Cole Young, Sr. was born on August 17, 1931 to Paul and Rosa Young. He passed
away
on August 12, 2016 at the age of 84.
Mr. Young was a member of Galilee Baptist Church where he served as head deacon. He was an active man and loved to be outdoors. Cole enjoyed gardening, fishing, and hunting. He was
giving person and loved his family. They were his world. Cole will be greatly missed.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his son – Clayton Paul Young, two brothers, and four
sisters.
Left to honor his memory is
his wife of 65 years, Katie Mae Kimbler Young; one son, Dennis Cole Young Jr. and wife Teresa of Evans; a sister, Lydia Willis of Pineville; grandchildren, Sarah Coleen Kay, Sherrie Benia and Harvey Ashworth, Paul Flint Young, Dennis Ray and Tomi
Young, Tyrel Orin Young, and Echo Raeleen and Jim Short; great-grandchildren: Kaitlin Alexandra Sandel, Kelcy Bret Sandel, Isabella Landry Biscamp, Christopher Ashworth, Caleb Ashworth, Katie Ashworth, Cole Ashworth, Anabel Storey, Trenton Short,
Christopher Weeks, Kyle Short, Dalton Short, Kiara Bowling, Kimberley Bowling, Kioshi Young, Dennis Ray Young, Jr, Dominick Young, Raven Young, Charles Young, Elizabeth Young, and Wyatt Young.
Pallbearers will be Tubby Ashworth, Caleb
Ashworth, Paul Young, Tyrel Young, T.K. Craft, Georgie Jeane, Jim Daffin, and Daniel Willis.
Honorary pallbearer will be Justin Ashworth
