Nelwyn Collier

Mrs. Nelwyn M. Collier finished her race, and her
faith became sight, as she entered her eternal home on Thursday, June 23, 2016.
Mrs. Collier was born on September 25, 1924 in Marshall, Texas. She passed away on Thursday in the Sabine Retirement Home in Many at the age of 91 years, 8
months and 28 days.
Mrs. Collier was a member of the First Baptist Church in Anacoco. She and her late husband lived in Vernon Parish from 1956-1968 and then traveled the United States living in several locations. She was a gifted
musician and she loved to play the piano and sing. She loved to cook, and sew and do arts and crafts. She was a wonderful and sweet Christian lady who will be missed by her family and friends.
Mrs. Collier is preceded in death by her
husband, Noble Chester Collier.
She is survived by her children: Phillip & Evelyn Collier of Shreveport, Sheila and Durhl Davis of Anacoco, Tom & Marilyn Horton of Yuba City, Calif., John & Teresa Collier of Santa Maria,
Calif., and Joseph & Margaret Collier of Lancaster, Texas; one brother: Vernon Morris of San Angelo, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild
There will be a private internment service for Mrs.
Collier in Santa Maria, Calif.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at 4 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Anacoco.
