Funeral services for Chief Warrant Officer (RET)
Charles F. Sutton, 83, of Anacoco, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday June 27, 2016 in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with Rev. D.R. Davis officiating. Burial will follow, with full military honors, in the Central Louisiana Veterans
Cemetery in Leesville.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2016 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
Mr. Sutton was born on May 23, 1933 in Holcomb, Miss. He passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016 at his
residence.
He retired as a CW4 after serving 39 years in the United States Army. His career as a soldier sent him all around the United States, Germany, and Korea. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam and one tour during Desert Storm.
He was awarded many medals during his career, including the Defense Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Bronze Service Star and Vietnam Service Medal.
Mr. Sutton is
survived by his wife, Bette Jo Sutton of Anacoco; two daughters. Mary Darlene Centanni of Philadelphia, Penn. and Candace Jeane Morris of Houston, Texas; one brother, Jerry Clifford of Paragould, Ark.; six grandchildren, Ashley Serna, Lindsey Serna,
Erin Thannisch, Keith Morris, David Morris, and Aaron Rogers, and 12 great-grandchildren.
