Funeral services for Donnie Parinee Layton Willis,
90, of Anacoco will be held Friday, June 3, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Anacoco First Baptist Church in Anacoco with Rev. Shannon Buxton and Rev. D.R. Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Mitchell Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial
Funeral Home of Leesville.?Visitation will be Thursday, June 2, 2016, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. until service time at the church.
Donnie Parinee Layton Willis was born January 11, 1926 in Anacoco; she passed from
this life on May 28, 2016, at her home. ?She was preceded in death by her parents, Katie and Mack Plummer; brother, Buck; sister and brother-in-law, Nell and Sam Russell; niece, Rhonda Martin, and nephew Allen Melancon. ?Donnie was a hard-working
woman, never one to just sit; always one to take control of the situation, Donnie was a worker and a giver. If she found out you needed help, she was there. After her retirement as a supervisor of a maintenance crew at Fort Polk, she began a second
career of caregiving. She worked until she was 86 taking care of other people’s loved ones.?She is survived by two great-nephews, Mack Melancon (Lara) of San Antonio, Texas, and Kristian Germann of Anacoco; great-great nephew, Mason, and
great-great-niece, Hailee of San Antonio; daughters of the heart, Dana Horn-Trujillo and Marla Beavers; sons of the heart, Tony Trujillo and Donald Beavers; grandchildren of the heart, Joseph D. Trujillo, and Kelli Beavers, all of Anacoco.
