Nicholas Thomas Karamales

Funeral services for Nicholas Thomas Karamales, 89, of Leesville were held Thursday, April 14, 2016, at 3 pm at the Silver Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Terry McDonald officiating. Burial followed in the Silver Creek Cemetery, under the
direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation was on Thursday, April 14th from 1 pm until time of service at the church.
Nicholas, the son of Thomas Anthony and Ethel Pauline Walker Karamales, was born on
July 8, 1926, in Bradenton, Fla. He passed away on Monday, April 11, 2016, in Leesville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 59 years, Melba Karamales; sister, Doris Craparo; and brothers, Evangelos (Van) and Lloyd.
Mr. Karamales retired from KCS. He was a US Army veteran of World War II, with combat action in Luzon, the Philippines and the Occupation of Japan.
He is survived by his sons, Norman (Becky) Karamales of Pineville and Charles
(Allison) Karamales of Leesville; sister, Christina Brightwell of Spring Hill, Fla. and grandchildren, Jason, Nicole, Christopher ( Brianna) and Colin.
