Memorial services for James Denham Blosdale, 68,
of Leesville will be held Friday, April 15, 2016, at 10 am at Christian Living Fellowship Church in Leesville, with Rev. Bobby Ganaway officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
James,
the son of Benjamin Laverene and Dorothy Hodge Blosdale, was born on November 20, 1947, in California. He passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, in Leesville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jeff Blosdale, and
granddaughter, Emily Blosdale Dionne.
Mr. Blosdale retired from Shell Oil as a lease operator with over 25years of service. He was a United States Army veteran having served in Vietnam. He was a member and rode with the Combat Veterans
Motorcycle Association.
He always had past and present vets on his mind and would encourage them when given the opportunity. He loved his family, friends and his church. “James was pure Gold”.
He is survived by his special
friend, Michelle Parks of Leesville; son, Ben Blosdale of Rosepine; daughter, Kim Blosdale Day and husband, James of Leesville, and grandchildren, Joshua Day and Rivers Day.
