Retired Assistant New Llano Chief of Police Mr.
Winston J. LaFosse, 72, of New Llano went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 7, 2016.
Mr. LaFosse was born on March 19, 1943 in Elton to Azenor LaFosse and Stellina Langley.
Mr. LaFosse was the Assistant Chief of Police
New Llano for 25 years.
Mr. LaFosse was on the City Council for 12 years, Mayor for 1 year, Alderman, Police officer, and Dispatcher for a total of 32 years as a public servant. He
was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He will be missed by all who were blessed to know him.
Mr. LaFosse was preceded in death by his loving wife, Cora Mae Stafford LaFosse; parents, Azenor LaFosse and Stellina Langley.
Those left to cherish his memory
are two sons, John LaFosse and wife, Tammy of Marietta, Ga., Jimmy LaFosse and wife, Gigi, of Cottonport; one daughter, Sissy LaFosse Holcombe and husband, Sam, of Bossier City; 10 grandchildren and 16 great–grandchildren.
Visitation will
be held Sunday, January 10, 2016 from 5-9 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville,. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 11, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Leesville. Father Kenneth Michiels will be
officiating.
Pallbearers will be Police Honor Guard. Honorary pallbearer will be Danny Hunt Chief of Police, New Llano. Interment will follow in Stephens Cemetery, New Llano, LA.
