Robert Rubar

Graveside services for Robert “Bob” Rubar 73, of Leesville, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2015, at the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Mr. Rubar was born on March 12, 1942 in Waterfalls, NY. He passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, in Alexandria, LA.
Mr. Rubar retired from the United States Army after 23 ½ years; with four tours in Vietnam, numerous services
medals including two Purple Hearts, A Silver Star and a Bronze Star. He worked as a Sheriff Deputy with the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office. He was a true countryman and he loved to fish and hunt.
He is survived by his sons, Chris Rubar
(Alecia) of Hornbeck, LA and Edward Rubar of Hornbeck, LA; daughters, Shannon Dunn (Joseph) of Leesville, Sherian Ashton (Zac) of Ft. Bragg, NC, Jessy Rubar of Leesville and Amanda Rubar of Fairbanks, AL; one sister, Nancy Stubblefield of Oklahoma
City, OK and nine grandchildren.
