Eddie Earnest McDaniel, 67, of Slagle passed away
on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015. He was the son of James Thaddie and Syble Lurlene Allen McDaniel and was born on Nov. 24, 1947.
He was born in Leesville, La., and lived most of his life in the Hornbeck and Slagle areas.
He was a
mechanic employed in the offshore oil industry. He was known as “Slack” by his family and friends. He loved to hunt and fish.
He is survived by his brothers, Gillus Reed McDaniel of Grand Cane, La., Jessie James “Buck” McDaniel of
Keithville, La., & Larry Dale McDaniel of Burkeville, La.; sisters, Linda Eloise Webb of Many, La., Peggy Sue Green of Vidor, Texas, Syble Jolene Moses of Anacoco, La., Joyce Ann Martin of New Llano, La., and Sharon Kay McKee of Orange, Texas,
and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015 at 3 p.m. at the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Hornbeck. Arrangements are under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
