Mark Knight, 82, of Rosepine, La., entered eternal
peace on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015 in Rosepine, La., with his family by his side. Mr. Knight was proud to live in his home and community. He dedicated his life to leave a legacy of home, integrity, character, and love for his family. Mr. Knight was a
retired farmer and seismic driller. The last years of his life were spent enjoying time with his family and friends whenever possible and reading good westerns.
Mr. Knight was preceded in death by his parents: BH and Fannie Knight; two
sons: Charlie Knight and Keith Knight; one daughter: Martha Watson and nine siblings.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory is his loving wife of 63 years, Louise Knight; one son: Steve Lee Knight of Soldotna, Alaska, one
daughter: Vester Wood, of Rosepine, La.; one brother: Tom Knight, of Rosepine, La.; two sisters: Agnes Sensabaugh of Lexington, Virginia, and Ruth Bailey of Shreveport, La. Mr. Knight was blessed with 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and
numerous extended family and friends.
Visitation will begin on Friday, Sept. 4, 2015 at 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church in Rosepine, La. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Providence
Baptist Church in Rosepine, La., with Reverend Charles Best and Arlen Smith, officiating. Interment will follow at Providence Cemetery in Rosepine, La.
Services will be under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home in DeRidder, La.
