Funeral services for Morine James Spillers, 86, of
Leesville, will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, July 24, 2015 at the Pine Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Welch and Rev. Jimmy “Tri” Evans III officiating. The burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday, July 23, from 4
p.m. until service time, Friday July 24, at the church. Services are under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville, La.
Morine was born on the 29th day of August 1928, in Leesville, La., the daughter of William and
Pearlie Johnson James. She entered eternal rest on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at the Rosepine Rehab and Retirement Center in Rosepine.
Morine worked as a cook for Kay’s Catfish House and as a custodian at the East Leesville Elementary. She
was a member of the Pine Hill Baptist Church and loved to quilt and loved her flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 33 years, Ellis Spillers, sons, Charles, Randall and Alton Glen; son-in-law Larry Welch
She will be sorely missed by her family; sons, Lester and wife Debra Spillers, Harmon Spillers and William Ellis Spillers all of Leesville; daughters, Elaine Welch of Anacoco, Tommie Lou and husband Jimmy West of Hornbeck and Brenda Lee and
husband James E. Jeane of Leesville; 17 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 19 great great grandchildren.
