Funeral services for Lorene Phillips Willis will
be held on Saturday, Jan. 17 at Oak Forest Baptist Church, La. 117, Leesville with the Rev. Alwin Willis officiating. Burial will follow at Castor Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Visitation will be on Friday, Jan.
16 at Oak Forest Baptist Church from 4-9 p.m.
Ms. Willis was born on Aug. 3, 1927 to John Henry and Marie Smith Willis and passed away on Monday, Jan. 12, 2015 at her home in Leesville at 87 years, five months and nine days. She was a
lifelong resident Vernon Parish. She was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to embroider, color, watch wrestling, fish, and she attended Oak Forest Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her
husband, Barney Willis; parents, John Henry Phillips and Marie Smith Phillips; and sister, Johnnie Dalme.
She is survived by her daughters, Debra Lovell and Doug of Pocala, Okla., Rena Bush of Leesville, Carolyn Willis of Leesville, Quida
Willis of Leesville and Tina Duhon of Leesville. She had eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
