Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys Gertrude
Stephens-Lenard will be held on Saturday, Jan. 10 at 2 p.m. at the Cooper Baptist Church, located at 853 Copper Church Rd., Leesville with Rev.
Edgar Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the Craft Cemetery under the care of Jeane’s
Funeral Service of Leesville.
Visitation will be on Friday, Jan. 9 from 5-9 p.m. at Cooper Baptist Church and then from 9 a.m. until service time.
Mrs. Lenard was born on Dec. 12, 1929 in Leesville and passed away on Tuesday,
Jan. 6, 2015 in Leesville at the age of 85 years and 13 days. She was a native of Leesville but, as a Air Force wife, she traveled around the world with her husband and family. She loved to shop, cook, work with flowers and feed hummingbirds. She was
a member of Cooper Baptist Church and will be missed greatly by her family, friends, and cat Annie.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Odom Emit Lenard; son, Lynn Edward Lenard; daughter, Deborah Dianne Lenard; and grandson, Joshua
Thomas Mouton.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Bertha Mouton and husband Thomas of Leesville and Lisa Darlene Lenard-Moore and husband John Edward of Leesville; her brother, M.C. “Tot” Stephens of Leesville; her sister,
Lola Faye Johnson of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Deborah Lenard, Lenn Lenard, Ashley Lenard Gunn, Colter Mouton, Jedidiah Mouton and Beth Turner; and her great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Keaton and Adrianne Lenard and Scott Mouton.
