Memorial services honoring the life of Windle
Lavern Burr McConaha will be held on Saturday, Dec. 13 at 2 p.m. in the Family Life Center of Burr Ferry United Pentecostal Church, located at 23606 La. 8 in Burr Ferry.
Mrs. McConaha was born on Sept. 7, 1931 in Burr Ferry to Robert and
Tessie Addison Burr and passed away on Sunday, Dec. 7 in DeRidder. She lived in the Burr Ferry area for most of her life and had worked as a laborer in the food industry. She loved to fish, camp and collect arrowheads.
Preceding her in
death were her parents and her brother and sister.
She is survived by her sons, Marlin J. McConaha and Harold Leslie McConaha, both of Rosepine and Paul C. McConaha of Lake Havasu, Arizona; daughters, Tessie Louise Griffin of Rosepine and
Pamela S. White and husband Alton of Burr Ferry; two sisters, Angie Fiscus of Burr Ferry and Shirley Orillion of Little Rock, Arkansas; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
