Marjorie Pollard

Marjorie Cole Pollard, 85, of Leesville passed
away on Nov. 11. She lived in Leesville all her life. Mrs. Pollard was born Nov. 19, 1928 in Peason.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Bill and Euna Cole; her husband, Claiborne F. Pollard; her brother, Charles W. Cole; and her
son-in-law, Larry E. Monk.
She is survived by one daughter, Charlotte P. Monk; one son, Kenny W. Pollard of Leesville and wife JoAnn; four grandsons, Jeffrey Monk of Houston, Timothy Monk of Baton Rouge, Mark Pollard and wife Holly and
Jonathon Pollard and wife Leila; and three great-grandsons, Wyatt, Gabriel and Noah Pollard. She is also survived by her sisters, Ada Haymon and husband Wayne of Leesville and Ruth Dixon of Bossier; her brother, James L. Cole of Leesville; and many
nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Pollard was a member of First Baptist Church of Leesville for 32 years and a faithful choir member. She served the Clerk of Court and the 30th Judicial District Court from 1960 through 1984. An Emeritus member of
the Pilot Club, Mrs. Pollard joined in 1969 and served as president from 1980-81. She was also a member of the Kurthwood Homemakers.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, Nov. 12 from 5-8 p.m. and Thursday, Nov. 13 from 9 a.m.-noon at Labby
Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014 at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Leesville with Rev. Jeff Coleman officiating. Burial followed in the Leesville Cemetery under the direction of Labby Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Leesville or the Leesville High School Alumni Association.
