Funeral services for Chris W. Brunson, 38, of
Anacoco will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7 at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville. Burial will follow in the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will
be Thursday, Nov. 6 from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Chris, the son of Mark Brunson and Debra Poyner Sutliff, was born Dec. 8, 1975 at Fort Polk. He passed away on Sunday, Nov. 2 in Leesville.
Chris worked on electronics. He
loved motorcycles. He loved his son and was an awesome father. He would help anyone at any time and he had an infectious smile.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Rose Cochrane; grandfather, John W. Poyner;
step-grandmother, Irene Poyner; aunt, Barbara Neighbors; and cousins, Patrick Christopher Powe and Chad Brunson.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Brunson of Hornbeck; son, Christopher Dakota Brunson of Columbia City, Indiana;
stepchildren, James Lane and Patrick Lane of Green River, Wyoming and Alia Lane of Hornbeck; parents, Debra and Bill Sutliff of Plaucheville and Mark and Marcia Brunson of Roanoke, Indiana; grandmother, Joan Frentz of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and aunts,
Johnna Poyner Steinhorst, Colleen and Heath Waikel and uncle Samuel Poyner. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
