Funeral services for Velma Imogene Cameron
Clawson, 93, of Leesville will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 24 at Young’s Funeral Home in El Dorado, Arkansas with Rev. Dewayne Amis officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery in El Dorado under the direction of Labby Memorial
Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Oct. 22 from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville. Visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 23 at the Young’s Funeral in El Dorado, Arkansas
from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Velma, the daughter of Marvin Daniel and Margaret Evelyn Futch Cameron, was born June 13, 1921 in Wesson, Arkansas. She passed away on Monday, Oct. 20 in Alexandria.
Mrs. Clawson was a lifelong resident
of the El Dorado area and a member of the First Assembly of God in El Dorado. She was a homemaker. In 2005, she moved to Leesville to live with her daughter after her husband’s passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of
66 years, Charlie Willie Clawson and sister, Ollive Wilkins.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Bolton and husband Johnny of Leesville; sister, Roberta Clary of Junction City, Arkansas; two grandson, Scott and Trisha Bolton and Todd
and Megan Bolton; and six great-grandchildren, Abbigail , Noah John, Aubree, Grant, Kallie and Logan.
