After too brief a battle with cancer, Kevin
Rodrigue was called home on Tuesday, Oct. 28. Although a native of Belle Rose, Kevin became entrenched in the Vernon Parish community. He served as a volunteer firefighter on the Anacoco Fire Department and spearheaded many fundraisers for the
department and for families in need.
Kevin was born on April 18, 1979 in Baton Rouge to Mildred Morales Bergeron and Larry Pierre Rodrigue. He was the superintendent of the Town of Many, where he oversaw the water plant operations and any
other projects the mayor would ask him to complete. Kevin was a Class 4 water operator who took extreme pride in delivering quality water and public relations to the residents of Many.
Those who knew Kevin understand he never met a
stranger and was a kind soul who always placed the needs of everyone above his own and ensured everyone he talked to had a smile on their face. He was blessed with a large number of friends and family, including the Cinderella International
Scholarship Pageant, where he became friends with people from several different countries. He was a fixture of the International Pageant family for over a decade.
Kevin was predeceased by his father, Larry Pierre Rodrigue.
Kevin is survived by his partner of 13 years, Wayne Bush of Anacoco; his mother, Mildred Morales Bergeron of Anacoco; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Delbert and Della Bush of Anacoco; siblings, Larry Rodrigue and sister-in-law Donna
Rodrigue of Belle Rose; Kenny Rodrigue and sister-in-law Gretchen Rodrigue of Donaldsonville; Craig Rodrigue and sister-in-law Jill Rodrigue of Gonzales; Layne Bush and sister-in-law Nicole Bush of Anacoco; Amy Kelly and brother-in-law Klayton Kelly
of Anacoco; aunts and uncles, Dorothy Loudon of Johnson City, Texas; James and Joy Morales of Mississippi; Irene Cassard of Donaldsonville; Michael Morales of Nashville, Tennessee; Terry and Cheryl Morales of Napoleonville; and Gus and Frances
Rodrigue of Pierre Part.
Kevin’s life revolved around his nieces and nephews, all of whom he spoiled to no end. They include Kainan Rodrigue Martines and husband Aaron Martines, Kaleb Rodrigue, Keni Alyse Rodrigue, Conner Rodrigue, Luke
Rodrigue, Taylor Bush, Colby Bush, Rylin Bush, Trendon Bush, Daniel Kelly, Aleigha Kelly and James Kelly.

Everything changes.
Everyone loses what
they once had.
But God
always
saves a remnant.
The ultimate question is,
what do we do with
what we have left?
